FADĀ SPATIUM

( A PERSONAL ALBUM )

And maybe that’s where confusion belongs — in the widening. Because every increase in awareness carries both sides. Every opening brings its tremor. Unification is confusing. Lingering between worlds, it becomes the liaison between opposites. So maybe confusion isn’t the absence of happiness — what if it is the leap into its beginning?

„There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.“ — Martha Graham

„Life, change, movement, and insecurity are all names for the same thing.“

When change becomes the direction to go, each movement is still accompanied by woe — because growth often walks hand in hand with something we must forgo.

Fadā Spatium studies what arises in the space between object and subject. The ongoing series traces closeness as it emerges in the felt, yet elusive space between things: a study on the texture of connection, of how intimacy is created by granting space, and how outer presence embodies inner acceptance, and inner acceptance outer presence — cultivating a sense of belonging.

It moves through the language of the body, inner and outer; through the space we enter, animate, and live in. Outer movement creates inner movement, and the reverse holds too — moved from without, touched within; touched within, carried back out. A relationship that, when held and supported, potentiates itself, carrying us into our core, into deeper relation — building a space strong enough to hold us together.
